The Giants made a splash on Monday by releasing wide receiver Victor Cruz and running back Rashad Jennings.

Cruz’s release was a sad moment for many Giants fans due to the positive memories the underdog created during his seven seasons with his hometown team. But it was no surprise that the Giants decided to cut ties with a pair of aging veterans that freed up $10 million in cap space.
