LOS ANGELES — A man was in custody today after he led police on a chase that ended in East Hollywood, authorities said.
Police were following a suspected stolen vehicle that turned into a pursuit about 8:20 p.m. Thursday in the area of Vermont and Lexington avenues, said Lt. Cliff Humphris of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division.
The chase ended a few minutes later in the area of Vermont Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard where the driver and two females bailed out of the vehicle, he said. The two females were apprehended immediately and later released, Humphris said.
The driver, who was believed to be hiding in a nearby restaurant, was caught around 9 p.m. and taken into custody, Humphris said.
His identity was not immediately reported.
