Dion Lewis will take the field in the Super Bowl as a New England Patriot.

But it wasn’t that long ago he was taking snaps in Warren County with the Blair Academy Buccaneers.

Lewis, 26, of Albany, N.Y., attended the private boarding school in Blairstown Township for his junior and senior high school years, graduating in 2009 after leading an undefeated football team.

“He glided on the field, much like he was on ice skates,” current Blair head coach Jim Saylor told the New Jersey Herald.

After Blair, Lewis went to the University of Pittsburgh and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 and has also been rostered by the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts. He missed the 2013 season with the Browns due to injury and in 2014 was quickly cut by the Colts before being signed by the Patriots.

Lewis was injured to start the 2016 season, but made NFL history last month in a playoff game against the Houston Texans — he became the first player in the Super Bowl era to score touchdowns on a run, reception and kick return in a postseason game.

Super Bowl LI kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
