MADRID, 31 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes this Wednesday the appointment of Elisa Carbonell as the new CEO of ICEX Spain Exportation and Investments, where she had been exercising the responsibility of General Director of Internationalization of the Company since September 2021.
Before joining the ICEX, she held the position of international affairs advisor in the cabinet of the then first vice president and minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño and, between 2012 and 2015, she was the advisor responsible for Union Affairs. European Union to the Minister of Economy and Competitiveness, Luis de Guindos.
Elisa Carbonell Martín, who will replace María Peña Mateos as CEO of ICEX and whose appointment was approved this Tuesday by the Council of Ministers, has a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and has belonged since 2007 to the Higher Body of Commercial Technicians and Economists of the State.
Among the positions she has held include economic and commercial advisor, Head of the Spanish Embassy in Colombia from 2015 to 2020, responsible for international affairs in the cabinets of two Secretaries of State for Economy and two Ministers of Economy, and Deputy Deputy Director of Legislation and Financial Policy at the General Secretariat of the Treasury.
The Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business, Carlos Body, thanked the former CEO of ICEX, María Peña Mateos for the services provided, in the publication of her dismissal in the BOE this Wednesday.
