MADRID, 6 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Danish chain Normal is promoting its expansion in Europe with its arrival in Spain, where it plans to open four stores with “affordable prices”, as reported in a statement.
Specifically, the first store will open this Thursday and will be located in Madrid, in the La Gavia shopping center, where it will have an area of 330 square meters. Thus, this Madrid space will be followed throughout this month by three more stores.
The company, which arrived in Portugal just a year ago, has almost 600 stores spread across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Finland and Portugal.
“Customers in the Nordic countries, Netherlands, France and Portugal have welcomed Normal with enthusiasm and we hope the same will happen in Spain. We decided on La Gavia as the location for opening our first store, as Madrid offers a combination ideal of dynamic business communities, cosmopolitan atmosphere and the perfect mix of foreign tourists and local shoppers,” said Normal CEO Torben Mouritsen.
The Danish chain has specified that it differentiates itself from other retail chains by “offering absolutely normal products at absolutely abnormal prices.” “We sell name-brand items from the makeup industry, household and personal care products, and a wide variety of basic products that most people already know and use in their personal care or daily cleaning routines, from well-known brands such as L’Oréal, Gillette, Colgate and Ajax,” said Mouritsen.
