The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism warns that there will be no new extensions for this procedure

MADRID, 15 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Government has extended until November 25 the deadline for submitting the guarantees that must be submitted by companies whose proposals have been beneficiaries of the funds of the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (Perte VEC), according to collected on the website of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

Specifically, the companies whose proposals were included in the distribution of the funds had 15 business days from the publication of the final resolution of the Perte VEC to present the necessary guarantees, that is, on Wednesday, November 16.

However, this period has been extended by 7 business days, that is, until next Friday, November 25. In this sense, the portfolio headed by Reyes Maroto has also indicated that there will be no new extensions for the completion of this procedure.

“The management center has communicated to the interlocutor of each tractor project with a Definitive Resolution Proposal, the extension, in 7 business days, of the term for the presentation of the receipts for the constitution of guarantees of the primary projects with proposed aid, as well as for the presentation of the opinions issued by a validation entity”, collects the Ministry on the web.

The Ministry’s page also details that “failure to present the valid guarantee constitution receipt, within the term and for the amount required for any type of aid in any primary project, will mean the consideration of the affected primary project as rejected”.

“This situation will affect the tractor project as a whole, which will be reassessed only once to guarantee compliance with the evaluation criteria and the requirements for the group to be a beneficiary. In the event that this reassessment does not exceed the established thresholds, it could mean the denial of the entire application submitted by the group. Likewise, the reevaluation may entail the modification of the financing proposal in accordance with the criteria established in the order of bases and the call,” he adds.

The Government will distribute 877.22 million euros under the Perte VEC, of which 45% (397 million euros) will go to the industrial proposal led by Seat and the Volkswagen Group and which includes the construction of a gigafactory of batteries for electric vehicles in Sagunto (Valencia).

The rest of the funds will be distributed among the other nine projects that were admitted to the Perte VEC.
