The Ibex 35 has started the session this Friday with a rise of 0.33%, which has led it to stand at 9,542.35 points, on a day in which the markets will be awaiting the publication of inflation for June in the euro area as a whole.
Likewise, it was known first thing in the morning that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the United Kingdom registered an expansion of 0.1% in the first quarter of 2023.
Investors will also remain attentive to the publication of the unemployment in Germany, as well as to the celebration of the summit of leaders of the European Union (EU) in Brussels.
After closing yesterday’s session with an advance of 0.31% and standing at 9,510.6 integers, the advances of Banco Santander (1.08%), Colonial (0.73%), CaixaBank ( 0.66%) and Bankinter (0.59%), while on the side of decreases Naturgy (-0.37%) and Inditex (-0.01%) stood out.
The main European markets have also opened this Friday with a positive sign: 0.55% for Milan, 0.41% for Paris, and 0.3% for Frankfurt and London.
In the raw materials market, the price of a barrel of Brent rose 0.17%, to 74.64 dollars, while the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) grew to 69.89 dollars, 0.04% more .
In the debt market, the yield on the Spanish bond with a 10-year maturity stood at 3.409%, with the risk premium reaching 96.9 basis points, while in the currency market, the euro exchanged at 1 .0863 dollars.
Shortly before the opening of the market, the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) suspended in a precautionary manner and with immediate effect the trading of Applus shares, which closed yesterday at a price of 9.32 euros, with an increase of 0.3%, waiting to know relevant information about the company.
