The Ibex 35, the main indicator of the Spanish market, has dawned almost unchanged, with a slight rise of 0.03%, reaching 9,920 points, on a day marked by the publication of the Active Population Survey (EPA) in Spain.

At the start of the stock market session, the EPA for 2023 as a whole was announced, a period in which unemployment fell by 193,400 people, which is 6.4% less than in 2022, while employment grew by 783,000 jobs. work (3.8%), closing the year with more than 21 million employed people and less than 3 million unemployed.

On a business level, today the results of Volvo, American Express and Carterpillar, among others, will be known.

In Spain, the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has decided to lift the suspension of Ezentis with effect from 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 29, after more than a year of paralysis.

In the early stages of this Friday’s session, the biggest increases within the Ibex 35 were recorded by Repsol ( 0.76%), Acciona EnergĂ­a ( 0.75%), Redeia ( 0.47%), Acciona ( 0. 37%) and Unicaja Banco (0.35%), while at the other extreme were Bankinter (-0.35%), Rovi (-0.31%), Cellnex (-0.28%), Banco Sabadell (-0.26%) and Inditex (-0.2%).

European stock markets woke up with mixed trends, with Frankfurt down 0.2%, and Paris, London and Milan up 1.39%, 0.83% and 0.21%, respectively.

At the opening of the stock market, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, fell 0.56%, to 81.97 dollars, while Texas stood at 76.75 dollars, a 0.79% less.

In the foreign exchange market, the price of the euro against the dollar advanced to 1.0827 ‘greenbacks’, while in the debt market the interest required on the 10-year Spanish bond climbed to 3.166%.
