The Ibex 35 has started the session this Monday with a decline of 0.4%, which has led the selective to lose the level of 8,400 integers that it conquered last Friday and which it had not reached since the middle of last August .
Specifically, the Madrid parquet has woken up in the first session of this week at 8,382 points, pending new macro data and the appearance today of the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, in the European Parliament.
In the early stages of the session, all the values of the Madrid selective registered falls. The greatest setbacks were registered by Mapfre (-3.99%), Repsol (-2.39%), Aena (-1.6%), Acerinox (-1.59%) and IAG (-0.9%) .
The main European markets also opened negatively this Monday, with decreases of 0.6% for London and Milan and 0.4% for Paris and Frankfurt.
For its part, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, was at a price of 81.67 dollars at the opening of the stock market, with a decrease of 2.4%, while the Texas it was trading at $74.38, down 2.5%.
In the currency market, the euro was losing ground against the dollar and was trading at 1.0374 ‘greenbacks’, while the Spanish risk premium stood at around 99 basis points, with the interest required on the bond at ten years in 2.917%.
