The bank posted a net profit of 201 million euros in the first quarter, which represents an increase of 9% compared to the 185 million it obtained in the same period of 2023.
This Thursday, Banco Sabadell will distribute a complementary dividend charged to 2023 results of 0.03 euros per share among its shareholders, which represents a total amount of 163 million euros.
Likewise, the media conglomerate MFE-MediaForEurope (MFE) has informed the market that it obtained a reported net profit of 209.2 million euros in 2023, which represents a decrease of 3.6% compared to the registered profits. in the previous year.
Investors will also be keeping an eye on Naturgy, after the Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business, Carlos Body, has assured, regarding the interest of the Emirati group Taqa in the energy company, that the Government has “the necessary regulatory instruments” to defend the strategic interests of the country and the protection of its companies.
For its part, the Public Treasury will return to the markets this Thursday to place between 5.5 billion and 6.5 billion euros in an auction of State bonds and obligations with which it will close the issues for the month of April.
In addition, investors will be attentive to the statements of the vice president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Luis de Guindos, and the member of the organization, Isabel Schnabel, while the new requests for unemployment benefits in the United States will be revealed.
In the early stages of this session, the biggest increases within the Ibex 35 were recorded by Naturgy (4.64%), IAG (1.49%), Mapfre (1.19%), MeliĆ” Hotels (1.13%). and Iberdrola (1.03%), while the ‘red lanterns’ were Repsol (-0.30%), Amadeus (-0.11%) and Cellnex (-0.07%).
Naturgy shares soared almost 5% on the stock market this Thursday at 9:00 a.m., a day after the Emirati group Taqa confirmed that it is holding talks with the energy company’s shareholders for a possible landing in the company’s capital through a public acquisition offer (OPA).
The main European stock markets opened this Thursday with a positive sign, with increases of 0.41% for Paris, 0.38% for London, 0.28% for Milan and 0.2% for Frankfurt.
At the opening of the stock market, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, rose 0.08%, to 87.36 dollars, while that of Texas stood at 82.69 dollars , without experiencing variation.
