even as the minister of Health, Agnes Buzyn, on Thursday announced the release of 40 million additional euros in 2019, for the mental health and the psychiatrist, where the lack of means is glaring, it is the whole of the hospital sector which demands an effort of the public authorities.

While the act health in preparation must be presented on 13 February by the Council of ministers, the Federation of hospitals of France (FHF) is calling for a review of the construction of the national objective of health insurance expenditure (Ondam) which sets each year the amount of expenditure -fixing a clear separation of the envelopes between the hospital and the medical city in order to “empower each of the actors”.

Frédéric Valletoux, president of the FHF, alert once again on the deficit of the hospitals that, after 890 million in 2017, expected to reach “between 850 million and 1 billion euros in 2018, including after the thaw of reserves prudential intervened at the end of the year”. In December, Agnès Buzyn had announced, for the first time since 2013, to the payment in full of the appropriations placed in reserve for the financing of hospitals, or € 415 million.

Asking the judgment of the lower prices, but also a “plan urgent need for simplification of administrative tasks which exhaust the professionals”, the FHF claims to be facing a leak of the doctors who “leave the hospital to work elsewhere because the daily has become very difficult.” In this context, public hospitals regretted not having been more involved in the development of the next law of health, which should be discussed in emergency procedure
