Ten years after the last performances of the show “The Man in Black” in Quebec, the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal will host this production next August featuring the rich repertoire of Johnny Cash.

Twelve performances are scheduled for the performance hall operated by Gestev, from August 4 to 7, from August 11 to 14 and from August 18 to 21.

Shawn Barker looks just like Johnny Cash (1932-2003) and he covers with conviction several of the late American singer’s hits, such as “Folsom Prison Blues”, “I Walk the Line” and “Ring of Fire”, “A Boy Named Sue and Hurt”.

In 2009, Shawn Barker began a series of five consecutive summers at the Théâtre Capitole in Quebec. He will also return there on November 10 and 11 to pay tribute to the man in black.

Tickets for performances of “The Man in Black – A Tribune to Johnny Cash” at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal (cabaretducasino.ca, ticketmaster.ca and 514 392-2700) and the Théâtre Capitole de Québec (ticketmaster.ca) are already on sale. Access is restricted to people aged 18 and over.
