The Social Hub will open its third hotel in Spain this week in San Sebastián after the establishments in Barcelona and Madrid as part of its expansion strategy in Europe.
After an investment of 50 million euros and generating more than 50 new direct jobs in the city, The Social Hub San Sebastián is the seventeenth property of this hybrid hospitality brand based in Amsterdam, founded in 2012 by Charlie MacGregor.
The establishment that will open on February 1 will have a total of 328 rooms, the hotel includes coworking, meeting and event areas, a restaurant, a rooftop with a pool and a gym.
The ‘hybrid hospitality’ model offered by The Social Hub is a unique concept tailored to travelers, business professionals, students and locals, through a variety of experiences that enable the creation of a strong community.
With this third hotel in Spain and other properties in development in Portugal, such as the planned opening in Porto for this fall 2024 or Lisbon later, The Social Hub continues to grow by joining 16 other properties in operation in European cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Florence , Paris and Vienna, among others.
With a modern design inspired by local culture, the spaces of The Social Hub San Sebastián have been conceived with the aim of integrating the diverse members of its community while offering experiences and facilities adapted to their needs.
So much so that visitors can choose between short or long stays, student accommodation and even enjoy the coworking space through a number of membership options. All of this, brought together in dynamic public spaces that encourage connections.
The Social Hub San Sebastián has a total of 328 rooms and more than 14,000 square meters that include, among many other facilities, a rooftop with swimming pool, a large coworking with offices and desks, up to 550 square meters of spaces for meetings and events. , a public restaurant open for lunch and dinner, a large community kitchen as well as a fully equipped gym.
Additionally, foodies can also enjoy the hotel’s culinary offering, which includes a variety of options ranging from international dishes to a selection of local dishes, all created with special attention to healthy and sustainable ingredients.
Founded in 2012, The Social Hub is headquartered in Amsterdam and has over 1,000 employees. The company’s locations number 23, including 17 hotels and more than 10,000 rooms currently in operation in Amsterdam (two hubs), Barcelona, Berlin, Bologna, Delft, Eindhoven, Florence, Groningen, Maastricht, Madrid, Paris, Rotterdam, San Sebastian, The Hague, Toulouse and Vienna.
Additionally, six hubs are currently in development and will open in the coming years: Glasgow, Porto and Florence Belfiore in 2024, Rome in 2025, and Lisbon and Turin later.
