Thieves drove off with four new BMW’s from a dealership in Goose Island early Thursday, then abandoned them about a mile away, according to police.

The cars were stolen from a warehouse at Perillo BMW in the 1300 block of North Branch Street after midnight Thursday after the thieves apparently got in through a window, police said.

The cars were found about a mile away by Milwaukee Avenue and Augusta Boulevard, police said. There was no major damage to the cars and no arrests were made.

Last week, five cars were stolen from the Mazda Autobarn in Evanston. The four BMWs and a Porsche were located later that day with the help of GPS trackers.

Police would not say whether the incidents were connected.
