The sun and the clouds will play yoyo for a good part of the day on Monday throughout Quebec, while a Humidex 35 is expected in the south of the province.
Environment Canada forecasts a mix of sun and cloud for most regions, with more cloud than sun in western sections.
The mercury will be on the rise, since the thermometer will show 29 degrees in Montreal, the Laurentians and Montérégie with a Humidex of 35, according to forecasts from the federal agency.
The humidity will also be felt in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and the Outaouais, as temperatures will exceed 30 degrees at midday.
In the center of the province, the heat will be mitigated by increased cloudiness, with 25 degrees in Estrie and Beauce, or even 20 degrees in Quebec and La Tuque.
In the areas a little further north, the federal agency forecasts a lower mercury, with 16 degrees and possible showers in the afternoon for Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
Practically, the same weather scenario is expected in the eastern sectors of the province, while mercury without humidity is expected under less cloudy skies.
