MADRID, 25 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has appointed Juan Manuel Serrano, former president of the Post Office, as the new general director of the State Land Transport Infrastructure Society (Seitt), the department headed by Óscar Puente has reported.

His election was approved today by the company’s board of directors. Born in Madrid in 1974, Juan Manuel Serrano graduated in Technical Engineering in Computer Science from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and then graduated in Law in 2012 from the National University of Distance Education (UNED).

Until his appointment as general director of Seitt, Serrano held the position of president of the State Postal and Telegraph Society, a position he assumed in July 2018.

Throughout his career, he has held various positions of responsibility. In the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces he held the positions of director of the Agreement Management Department between 2005 and 2007; manager between 2007 and 2013; and director of the Systems Department between 2013 and 2014, the year in which he assumed the position of chief of staff of the Federal Executive Commission of the PSOE, until his appointment as president of Correos.

Seitt is a public company chaired by the Secretary General of Land Transportation, Marta Serrano, which manages the nine toll highways that reverted to the State due to their financial problems.

Specifically, they are: the four Madrid radials (R2, R3, R5 and R4); the M-12 Airport Axis, which connects the capital with Barajas; the AP-41 Madrid-Toledo; the AP-36 Ocaña-La Roda; and the AP-7 in two sections, Alicante Ring Road and Cartagena-Vera.
