Urbas has closed a strategic agreement with the Colombian soccer club América de Cali to build the new Arena América stadium with an investment of more than 100 million dollars (92.35 million euros), as reported this Friday by the company in a Press release.

The company has explained that this new infrastructure will diversify the business portfolio of the Colombian soccer team by being configured from its design as a “multipurpose venue of great spectacularity” with the capacity to celebrate not only soccer matches, but also other sporting, corporate, concerts and all kinds of shows and cultural and social events.

In this way, Urbas consolidates itself as one of the reference companies in the execution of “megaprojects” and unique buildings that require “great specialization and experience”, the company has stressed.

Specifically, the new stadium will have a capacity for 52,000 spectators, 260 boxes, and a retractable roof and grass in accordance with FIFA regulations to host international tournaments.

In addition, the project will be completed with the construction of 4 towers, 450 suites, 92 offices, 30 commercial premises, 10 restaurants and 4,000 parking spaces, while it will also have specific facilities for shows and concerts, dressing rooms and booths for the media. .

Urbas explained that the forecast is for the works to be completed in 2027 on the occasion of the celebration of the 100 years of Club América de Cali.

This new stadium will be located on the road to Jamundi de Cali and will connect in the future with the Bicentenario road, the Cercanías Train and the Bonilla Aragón Airport.

The company, for its part, will also promote the Sports Citadel in an additional area of ​​two million square meters.
