The multinational financial services company Visa has announced on Monday the eight fintech companies from Spain and Portugal that are finalists for its “Visa Innovation Program Europe” program, which will collaborate with those already established in the Hackquarters and Finnovating sector, in addition to Visa itself. , with the aim of driving innovation within the financial and payment industry.

According to a press release issued by Visa, this year’s edition in Spain and Portugal has received just over a hundred applications, of which eight have been chosen: the Spanish Dedomena AI, Dogood People, Goscore, Reveni and Toquio, and the Coverflex, Fraudio and Holywally.

These ‘fintech’ (English acronym for finance and technology) offer services ranging from compensation management in companies, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for data processing, cross-border credit rating and digital wallets to the post-purchase experience and the improvement of the culture of sustainability through ESG criteria.

Visa has indicated that those selected have demonstrated the knowledge, growth capacity and business models with the potential to expand internationally and, therefore, they will have the opportunity and support during the program to promote an intelligent and sustainable ecosystem with integrated finance through disruptive payment experiences and strengthen businesses and SMEs.

The regional director of Visa for southern Europe, Bea Larregle, has claimed the success of the previous editions in the different markets of the region to point out that “collaborative innovation is crucial to build more inclusive economies and boost economic growth”.
