A 19-year-old woman died early Sunday morning after she was struck by a vehicle on Lake Shore Drive.
Police said the woman was crossing westbound into oncoming traffic near the 4200 block of North Lake Shore Drive about 11:50 p.m. and was hit by a Lexus SUV traveling in the northbound lanes.
The woman was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Her identity was being withheld.
The driver was not issued a citation, according to police. No further details were immediately available.
