Estimates to register net attributable profit of 1,145.9 million euros at the end of the year

The motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha closed the first half of the year with an attributable net profit of 105,265 million yen (670.2 million euros), 26.9% more than what it earned a year earlier, according to figures published by the company, which has revised its forecasts for the full year upwards.
Yamaha’s operating profit reached 142,753 million yen (908.9 million euros) in the first half of the year, representing an increase of 39.4% compared to 102,419 million yen (652.2 million euros). ) from the previous year.
On the other hand, turnover amounted to 1.23 trillion yen (7,831.3 million euros), 14.7% more, while sales of the land mobility business stood at 794,961 million yen (5,060.8 million euros), 15.4%.
The Japanese manufacturer has detailed that for the motorcycle segment, demand in Europe and North America remained strong, while in other emerging markets, such as Asia, it also grew as the economic recovery progressed.
For the entire fiscal year, Yamaha has revised its forecasts upwards because it expects the effects of “high commodity prices to diminish” in a context marked by the depreciation of the yen.
Thus, the company estimates registering net attributable profit of 180,000 million yen (1,145.9 million euros), 3.2% more compared to the previous year. In addition, it expects turnover to be around 2.5 trillion yen (15,916.9 million euros), 11.2% more, and an operating profit of 11.2% more, with 250,000 million yen (1,591.6 millions of euros).
In line with the revisions made to the projection of consolidated commercial results for the fiscal year that ended last December, the projection of dividends for this current year-end was revised accordingly, and the company has also decided to pay an interim dividend of 72.50 yen per share (0.46 euros).
