The former chief strategist of US president Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, has campaigned for a worldwide right movement at party Congress of right-wing populist Front National (FN) in France. “The story is on our side and will lead us from victory to victory,” he called hundreds of FN supporters in Lille.

“You are part of a world-wide movement larger than France, greater than Italy, larger than Hungary, greater than all that,” said Bannon in his half-hour speech. This movement is directed against “establishment”, banks and against press, which is led by governments “like a dog on a leash”.
Front National director Marine Le Pen pursued Bannons free speech in first row. addressed to m, Bannon, Le Pen, and “beloved US president” Trump, are helping to put welfare of citizens back in foreground.
The Front National had invited Bannon as a surprise guest to his party congress. The 64-year-old is currently travelling through Europe and is visiting potential allies. This week, head of AfD Bundestag group, Alice Weiden, had also met with Bannon. He also appeared at a Congress in Switzerland and watched election in Italy, where right-wing populists and right-wing extremists jointly brought more than 50 percent of votes.

The right-wing nationalist publicist Bannon had been appointed by Trump as his campaign leader three months before US presidential election in 2016. After Trump’s inauguration, Bannon became chief strategist at White House, but was released in August 2017.
He returned to his chief position at right-wing Internet portal Breitbart News, but lost job at beginning of year. The reason was Bannon written statements in investigative book Fire and Fury (Fire and Rage) of journalist Michael Wolff about Trump’s presidency.
