US president Donald Trump and his vice Mike Pence will not be taking part in opening of US embassy in Jerusalem next week. The White House shared that Trump would send a high-level delegation to ceremony with which United States officially recognizes Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

Trump had ordered transfer of embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem last year, thus redeeming one of his campaign promises. Worldwide re was criticism of his decision. The move makes it more difficult to achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians is a reproach.
At inauguration of embassy on 14 May, deputy US Secretary of State John Sullivan will lead delegation. She also includes Finance Minister Steven Mnuchin as well as Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kusher, who shared White House.
