The Education commission of the Parliament of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels approved on Tuesday unanimously a draft decree that imposes, starting next September the enrollment of all children from the age of five years, compared to six today.
With this text, which should be approved in plenary session tomorrow, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation complies with a proposal for a law adopted last year by the House, the federal government is competent in the matter of fixing the age of compulsory schooling.
