Desmond CreelU.S. Marshals

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio – A Beachwood man who skipped trial on weapons charges more than a year ago has been arrested, the U.S. Marshals said.

Desmond Creel, 26, was arrested Wednesday on the 4500 block of Warrensville Center Road, north of Emery Road in Warrensville Heights, the U.S. Marshals said in a news release. Authorities also took three firearms out of the house where Creel was staying.

Creel has an open weapons case in Cuyahoga County Pleas Court and had avoided arrest, until Wednesday, since September 2015. He’s charged with having weapons under disability and carrying a concealed weapon.

Court records do not say when Creel is scheduled to make his next court appearance.
