CLEVELAND, Ohio – Chance the Rapper, fresh off his epic night at the 59th annual Grammy Awards, will be headed into Blossom Music Center on Friday, May 19.

And in keeping with his history of a guy who goes the independent way, tickets will be available on his own website, chanceraps.com, at 7 p.m. on Valentine’s Day night. They’ll also be available at ticketmaster.com, livenation.com and by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Ticket prices and support acts have not been released.

Chance the Rapper, born Chancellor Johnathan Bennett in Chicago in 1993, won Grammys for best new artist, best rap album (“Coloring Book”) and best rap performance (“No Problem”).

Bennett/Chance isn’t signed to a major label and gives most of his music away for free, via downloads. One report noted the 23-year-old might not even have been eligible for a Grammy had not the RIAA relaxed the rules for the first time this year to allow for the nomination of albums released only via streaming services.

His ebullient reaction to the wins during the show on Sunday night had to further endear him to his core of fans, and likely created an additional pool.
