STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – The man and woman wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 50-year-old man in Strongsville have been arrested, police said Tuesday.

Timothy Bene, 32, and Courtney Heckman, 23, were arrested about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in Ashland, about 65 miles southwest of Cleveland in Ashland County, Strongsville police said.
The two waived their extradition hearing and were taken back to Strongsville.
Bene and Heckman are each charged with murder in Berea Municipal Court, police said. They are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
Strongsville police were called about 1 p.m. Friday to a house on Sprague Road near Marks Road and found Bene’s stepfather Dean Vastartis with multiple stab wounds. Vastartis was taken to Southwest General Health Center where he died.
Bene and Heckman drove away in Vastartis’ blue 2013 Mazda Protege after the stabbing, Strongsville police said. The car was found Monday.
