CLEVELAND, Ohio – The cold and snow are back today in Cleveland, but don’t worry just yet. Accumulations are extremely slight, and highs will still reach the upper 30s, which isn’t too bad.

The How:

A passing low pressure system and cold front could spark some light snow showers in Northeast Ohio today. However, with northwest winds, this won’t be much of a lake effect event.

With winds instead having a northerly component, passing clouds will barely have any time as they pass over the lake to gain moisture, so accumulations are very slight, less than a half-inch by midnight, and only around 1 inch by early Thursday morning.
