LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Police are searching for a man who pistol-whipped a Lakewood resident and stole his car.
The robbery happened about 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 11000 block of Edgewater Drive near the Edgewater Towers Condominiums, Lakewood police Capt. Ed Hassing said.
The victim told investigators that an unidentified man approached him and demanded all of his belongings. The man got into the victim’s car and struck him in the head with a gun, Hassing said.
The man drove away in the victim’s car. The victim’s Kia Optima was found, a dispatcher said.
The incident remains under investigation.
