Light rail service along Howard and Pratt streets in Baltimore will be halted this weekend for track repairs, the Maryland Transit Administration announced Wednesday.

The shutdown will begin Friday at 6 p.m., and service will resume Monday at 5 a.m., the MTA said. The following stations will be closed for the weekend: Penn Station, University of Baltimore/Mount Royal, Cultural Center/State Center, Centre Street, Lexington Market, University Center and Convention Center.

A free shuttle bus service Makrobet will run in both directions from the Camden Yards station to the North Avenue station, the MTA said. The bus will stop at each of the closed stations during normal hours.

In the event of inclement weather, the MTA said, the track repairs will be rescheduled to the following weekend, Feb. 10-12.
