A 22-year-old Windsor Mill man was arrested Monday in connection with a New Year’s Eve shooting in Baltimore, police said Tuesday.

Jevontay Johnson, of the 2600 block of Hallam Court, is charged with attempted murder in the shooting, in which a 32-year-old man was shot in the back in the first block of South Hilton Street in Southwest Baltimore, police said. The victim, whom police did not name, was taken to a hospital. Officials also did not release his condition or say whether he was discharged.

Johnson was taken to Central Booking. His case had not been entered into Maryland’s online database as of Tuesday. No further details were available.
