CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – Harassing Communications, Cottage Street: A man sent unwanted emails to a woman stating he was single and in need of a woman. She filed a police report Jan. 30 after he said that he knew where she lives. The victim said she did not know him, but she is active on social media sites. Police tracked the emails to a phone that was part of a group purchase, indicating that it could be an attempt to scam her identity.

Suspicious, South Franklin Street: An officer checked on a sleeping woman in a vehicle 4:16 p.m. Feb. 2. She explained she was napping while waiting for her grandchild to complete a tutoring session.
Unruly Juvenile: Miles Road: Juvenile court Charges are being filed against a girl, 15, for not going to school and being unruly with her grandparents. The charges stem from a Feb. 2 incident.
Drunken Driving, North Main Street: A Shaker Heights man, 25, drove through a red light shortly before midnight Feb. 4. The man exhibited signs of alcohol consumption and was transported to the Bedford jail where he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .098 percent. He was charged and released pending a court appearance.
Found Property, North Main Street: A computer flash drive was found on the sidewalk Feb. 4. When an officer opened it on a police computer to find the owner, he saw that it contained information pertaining to legal matters. It was quickly returned to the attorney who lost it.
Trespassing, Falls Road: A new property owner asked police to find the owner of an unknown truck parked in the driveway 5 p.m. Feb. 5. An officer followed footprints in the woods and found a hunter in a tree stand. The hunter said he had permission to be there from the previous owner and was unaware that the property had been sold. He was told to not return.
Drunken Driving, Solon Road: A Chagrin Falls man was caught speeding just before midnight Feb. 5 and admitted to having a couple of beers. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Solon jail, where he refused to take a breath test for alcohol consumption on the advice of his lawyer. His license was suspended and he was released on a $1,500 bond pending a court date.
