CLEVELAND, Ohio — A masked man robbed a Brinks armored truck driver at gunpoint Wednesday morning outside a bank in Cleveland’s Lee-Miles neighborhood, police say.

Police have not identified a suspect.

The robbery happened outside a PNC bank on Harvard Avenue near Lee Road during a delivery, Cleveland police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.

A caller dialed 911 at 10:06 a.m. to report the incident, saying they saw the robbery unfold on surveillance camera, according to dispatch records.

The man wore a mask and carried a handgun with a long handle, records say.

The caller told dispatchers that the robber was standing at a nearby bus stop just prior to the robbery.

He approached the Brinks truck, stole a black bag from the employee, and ran off toward a gas station, records say.

Police have not said what was stolen during the incident.
