CLEVELAND, Ohio — Bright and early Friday, before tending to the affairs of the nation such as meeting with business leaders to talk about jobs, President Donald Trump fired off another unsolicited jab at Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger did a really bad job as Governor of California and even worse on the Apprentice but at least he tried hard!” the leader of the free world tweeted at 6:24 a.m.

It was the second dig at the former Governator this week by the president. Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast Wednesday, the president ripped Schwarzenegger’s version of “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
“We know how that turned out. Ratings went right down the tubes, it’s been a total disaster,” he said before a crowd probably not expecting jokes about the star of “Jingle All the Way.”
Perhaps Trump was just getting around to responding to Schwarzenegger, who said after the remarks at the prayer breakfast, “Hey Donald, I have an idea. Why don’t we switch jobs? Since you’re such an expert in ratings, then people can finally sleep comfortably again.”

The Washington Post, however, suggests there might be another reason Trump is fixated with his successor on “The Celebrity Apprentice.” According to the report, Trump is still fuming over NBC’s decision not to replace him with his daughter Ivanka, instead going outside of the Trump family with a big Hollywood star.
Either way, Trump seemed to move on quickly from whatever happened to irritate him about Schwarzenegger this morning. He tweeted four minutes later about Iran and then 10 minutes later to give a shout out to Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and, of course, rip the news media.
He’ll be baaack.
