CLEVELAND, Ohio — “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is coming to the giant domed screen at Great Lakes Science Center.
The film will be shown at the science center’s newly remodeled Cleveland Clinic Dome Theater starting on Thursday. The dates for the limited run are Feb. 16-20, Feb. 23-24, March 2, March 4, March 9-11 and March 16-18. Showtime is 6 p.m., except for Feb. 20 when the movie starts at 4 p.m.
The science center, located downtown next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at North Coast Harbor, says moviegoers will be allowed to enter in costume, though may be asked to remove masks. Lightsabers or toy guns are not permitted.
While the theater used to show OMNIMAX movies, “Rogue One” will be shown at the industry standard picture-size, albeit on a screen six stories high. The space was renovated last year with a three-projector, laser-illuminated projection system, state-of-the-art digital sound, new seats and carpeting.

“Rogue One,” set just before the events of the original 1977 film about a team of rebels who steal the plans to the Death Star, is the first of at least two “Star Wars” anthology films. The movie has made about $1.05 billion worldwide since its release nearly two months ago.
