CLEVELAND, Ohio — In tonight’s powerful episode of “Star,” entitled “Mama’s Boy,” Carlotta (Queen Latifah) suggests to her transgender son, Cotton (Amiyah Scott), to offer some of the money he’s been saving for his sex change operation to go towards Derek’s (Quincy Brown) bail. Derek was arrested in last week’s episode after the peaceful protest against Atlanta police turned violent.
Also, Alexandra’s mother (Naomi Campbell) returns to meddle in her daughter’s affairs, and offers her a tempting proposal.
“Mama’s Boy” also has guest star appearances by Missy Elliott, Tyrese Gibson and Jack Yang.
“Star” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
