CLEVELAND, Ohio – Make sure to grab those mittens, hat and scarf this morning on your way to work or school, as temperatures will dip into the teens, and wind chills even lower, around 7 degrees.

It won’t warm up too much either, as highs are only expected to reach the mid 30s. However, Saturday and Sunday, you will see a break in the frigid air.

The How:

A high pressure system will give Northeast Ohio a day of snow-free skies on Friday. High pressure causes sinking motion in the atmosphere, which in turn dries air out significantly, increasing the air’s stability. Since snow and rain showers need instability and moist air to form, this is why chances are so low.
