AVON — Theft, Long Road: Police reported the theft of batteries from three semis at 7:47 a.m. Jan. 19. The complainants said the most recent theft had taken place the night before the report, and the other two had taken place at various times since Dec. 25.

Traffic crash, Detroit Road: A driver reportedly suffered a hand injury in a two-car crash at 10 a.m. Jan. 19 at Detroit Road and Ridgeland Drive. No further information was available at the time of the report.

Theft, Chester Road: Police arrested two suspects at 3:29 p.m. Jan. 20 in connection with the reported theft of two Hoverboards from a car at 7:01 a.m. that day. Police saw the suspects with two Hoverboards that matched the victim’s description.

Traffic crash, Colorado Avenue: Police reported a one-car crash with undisclosed injuries at 10:06 a.m. Jan. 20. The driver, who had been trapped inside his car when it overturned in the crash, was taken to Cleveland Clinic Fairview.

Fireworks complaint, Detroit Road: A woman reported that a man in a gray truck threw a firework out of the truck and struck her door at 12:58 p.m. Jan. 20.

Hit/Skip, Chester Industrial Parkway: Police were able to locate the suspect in a hit-skip accident at 1:21 p.m. Jan. 20 in a parking lot. Police had traced the license number of the suspect’s car and contacted him by 1:55 p.m. He came to the police station at 2:53 p.m. and admitted to hitting the victim’s car and leaving the scene.

Theft, Williams Court: A woman reported discovering 16 pills missing from her prescription bottle Jan. 1. The woman told police there were other people who had access to her medication and she believes one of them took the pills. The incident was still under investigation at the time of the report.
