GREEN, Ohio – Haven’t gotten around to signing up for TSA PreCheck yet? Officials with the Transportation Security Administration and the Akron-Canton Airport are making it easy for you.
TSA will operate a temporary enrollment center next week, Feb. 6 through Feb. 10, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the airport’s second-floor conference center.
Before arriving, applicants need to pre-enroll (identogo.com/precheck) and then sign up for a scheduled appointment at the airport. At the airport, applicants will have their fingerprints scanned and pay the $85 enrollment fee, good for five years.
PreCheck travelers typically stand in shorter airport security lines, don’t have to take off shoes and belts, and can keep computers and liquids in carry-ons. For information:tinyurl.com/tsacak or tsa.gov/precheck.
