CLEVELAND, Ohio – Our beer podcast puts the spotlight on Akron this week, with a fest coming and a brewery honored.
Hoppin’ Frog was honored yet again on a list of the world’s best brewers. And it’s not the first time ratebeer.com’s has included the Akron brewery in its ranking. Several other Ohio breweries also received nods in the list.
About the list
Akron Art & Ale is coming up in March. It’s a fun fest in a great setting – the Akron Art Museum – and it’s not too large. It usually draws about 350 people.
About the fest
And for fans of Belgian ales and the HBO show “Game of Thrones,” Brewery Ommegang is coming out with its latest GOT ale called Bend the Knee. It’s due around Memorial Day.
