A five-vehicle crash on Thursday blocked three lanes of the westbound 118 Freeway just west of the 405 Freeway in Mission Hills for about an hour.
The incident that was reported around 8:06 a.m. Thursday resulted in the blocking of the No. 3, 4 and 5 lanes, California Highway Patrol officials said.
A SigAlert was issued at 8:19 a.m. before concluding about an hour later at 9:22 a.m., CHP officials said.
CHP Officer Dion Conley said the initial reports were of a three- or four-vehicle crash before it was updated to five vehicles. Conley added there were minor injuries as a result of the crash but had no further information.
Four of the vehicles involved in the crash were a Honda Accord, a Honda Civic, a Toyota and a Chevy Cruze, which were blocking the middle lanes, officials said.
