An 18-wheeler that jackknifed across the median of Loop 410 and into oncoming traffic near I-37 Friday evening has sent six people to the hospital, emergency personnel said.
San Antonio Fire Department spokesman Joe Arrington said the truck crossed a median and struck “several other vehicles” at around 6:20 p.m. Friday. Investigators are still determining the cause of the wreck.

The six victims were taken to a nearby hospital, with at least one in critical condition, Arrington added.
The truck spilled several gallons of fuel onto the road. Hazmat crews are still cleaning the scene, and traffic is “severely slowing” in the area, according to SAFD reports.
