This year, the faculty and staff members at both North Hunterdon and Voorhees high schools selected their band directors as the Educator of the Year.

Each year, schools across New Jersey select staff to be recognized as part of the Governor’s Educator of the Year Program.

This is the first time in recent history that both high schools have selected teachers serving in the same role, according to a news release.

Vincent Angeline, marching band director for North Hunterdon High School, and Aidan Giannelli, a music teacher and the marching band director at Voorhees, were selected.

Angeline has been the director and a music teacher since 1990 while Giannelli has been a music teacher and band director since 1998.

For the Educational Services Professional of the Year, North Hunterdon High School faculty and staff members selected guidance counselor Steven DeLorenzo and Voorhees High School selected school psychologist Jennifer Komoroski.

DeLorenzo has worked for the high school district since 1998 and been a counselor since 2003. Komoroski started in the district at North Hunterdon in 2007, but has been a psychologist at Voorhees since 2014.
