On Feb. 11, the Belvidere Youth Athletic Association, held its third annual Hoops Day & Restock the Pantry Food Drive, an event designed to promote, unite, and celebrate all basketball players in the grades 3-8 program.
The players participated in skills competitions, knockout games, and a “Red-White” game. In all, the children collected 142 pounds of food, which was donated to the Belvidere Area Food Pantry in Belvidere.
