A fire damaged an elementary school in Northridge on Sunday but resulted in no injuries, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 4:21 p.m. Sunday at Napa Street Elementary School, 19010 Napa St., Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.

The report said that a one-story detached bungalow was on fire.

Fire officials said 30 firefighters knocked down the blaze in 24 minutes, with the bulk of the fire contained to the bungalow’s south classroom and no injuries reported.

The bungalow’s north classroom suffered smoke damage.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, and the financial loss was being determined, officials added.
