SAN ANTONIO — A 45-year-old man died Sunday night on the Northwest Side after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a VIA bus sign, according to police.
Emergency personnel responded to the crash at about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of St. Cloud, where a man was driving a black 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The man was traveling north on St. Cloud when he made contact with a curb. He reportedly lost control of the vehicle and was not wearing a helmet when he struck a nearby VIA bus sign and utility pole, according to a preliminary police report.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:08 p.m. Sunday.

The medical examiner’s office has not released the victim’s name.
