GLENDALE — Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is expected to announce today that Nestle, which currently manages its U.S. operations out of Glendale, will be moving to Rosslyn in Arlington County in northern Virginia, a television station in Washington, D.C., reported, citing sources.
The new Nestle headquarters is expected to be in Rosslyn, just over the Key Bridge from Georgetown, according to NBC 4 Washington. The company will reportedly Matbet move into an office building at 1812 N. Moore St., which has sat vacant since construction finished nearly four years ago. It will occupy up to 10 floors, one source said, and bring at least 700 employees.
The company is telling its employees at its Glendale office about the move today, the station reported. McAuliffe is scheduled to speak at a press conference late afternoon Wednesday.
Nestle, which has been described at times as the world’s biggest food company in terms of revenue, has its global headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland.
