SAN ANTONIO — A helicopter unit is aiding police in the search for a bank robbery suspect Friday on the Northeast Side who fled east after the heist, according to officials on scene.
Officers responded to the robbery around 2:45 p.m. at an IBC Bank in the 1500 block of Northeast Loop 410.
“Really just the same old stuff,” said San Antonio Police Department Sgt. Orlando Navarro. “Guy runs in, holds ’em up, runs out. Not much to it.”

Navarro said the suspect did get away with some money, but it’s unclear how much. It’s also unclear if he was armed at the time.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s.
