RARITAN TWP. – A 52-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged with possession of a spring-loaded knife following a motor-vehicle stop on Routes 202-31 at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, police said.
Officer Christopher Vallat initially stopped because he saw Andrey Gaponenko’s tractor-trailer standing still in a posted no stopping or standing zone, police said.
Gaponenko was also issued motor-vehicle summonses for improper parking and having hazardous tires. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
Township police also made four marijuana arrests and one arrest for possession of Suboxone and crack cocaine between Jan. 28 and Feb. 2, police said.
