SAN ANTONIO — A woman is in critical condition Tuesday after being shot in the mouth, possibly by her boyfriend, according to police.
The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. Monday in the 6600 block of South Flores Street at the Capital Motel on the South Side.

Police were responding to an assault in progress when they found the woman responsive with a gunshot wound to her mouth, an officer said at the scene.
She was transported in critical condition to San Antonio Military Medical Center, the officer said.
Officers are searching for the woman’s boyfriend, who reportedly fled on foot from the scene.
