Greensburg resident Donnie Zappone Jr., 31, has announced his intention to run for city council.
He will seek the Republican nomination in May's primary.
Zappone is a graduate of Hempfield Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
He is an operation manager at his family's businesses, Zappone Auto, Zappone Towing and Zappone Mini Storage.
Promoting business development, fixing parking concerns and stemming the drug epidemic are among his top concerns, Zappone said in a statement.
